I had a pleasure meet today one of my clients who asked me to change his fabulous brown hair to gray.

I had to lift his natural depth to 10 and add gray color to his hair after 

I was very pleased with the result and he was very happy with the color 

here you can check few pictures  of him before and after hairdressing service

The hair was never lightener or tint so I did strand test one day before the service

The hair was a virgin hair

The test was positive and the hair after lifting so many levels was still in great condition

I could book my client for the creative color service

For the service I use

Wella Blondor Freelights with 9% on  the middle shaft  of the hair and the ends

Wella Blondor 6% on the roots

After 20-25 min I rinse the hair and dry it with towel and

apply Wella Blondor 6% on all of the hair 

After 20-25 min I rinse the hair and

use tonner 

After 5-7 min I rinse the hair again and dry it

Reuse Your Cuttings

Reuse Your Cuttings 

As a hairdresser, you will cut plenty of hair. 

Head block's hair could be very long and one day you will have to cut it very short.

You can still use your cuttings and if the length is good you can make your own hair extensions and use it again for maybe competition at college.

So you will have to collect the cuttings and separate the hair and keep only the best one

Get one candle  and use the hot wax as a glue for your hair

The final result should be something like this

 You can make as many as you need , tint it or lighten it and add  a bead and clamp it to your hair or head block's hair or model

 I bought scissors 4.5 inches from Angel company for precise classic hair cuts

The shears are very sharp  and not  noisy  very good  price around 10 Pounds

I tested this scissors this week and I am so happy with it
The scissors are very comfortable to hold and use and you have definitely more control on the hair cut The line is more straight and even
The sharp blades are great
I love it love it love it 
Thos scissors are not for slicing and texturing , it is only for precise haircuts.

Mahogany Tree

Mahogany Tree 

One of my favorite colours is Mahogany 

 It is just beautiful 

It is great colour for lowlights or in light shade great for making the stunning candy floss effect on the hair

You can find several variations of the mahogany hair styles online 

You can use it with blue or violet

I think it is great colour for Autumn  season when we get so many colorful leaves

I made  my version of Mahogany Hair Style and hair cut , check it out below.

The soft pastels chalk is perfect to practice the colours on hair before tinting the hair with permanent hair colour

The chalk is a not a great product to work with

It can be very messy 

Definitely use gloves and protect the head block's face because the colour will stain the rubber

The chalk is very easy to remove from hair and you will need only some warm water and shampoo

The dried chalk is like a dust and if you move hair the dust will drop on the floor so I will not recommend it really but maybe hair spray could help and keep the chalk on the hair longer 

This product is great for children 

They could have plenty of fun with it

We had chance to practice short hair cuts at college

My head block had uneven hair cut and I had to clean and smooth the hair using scissors over comb technique

My pair of Jaguar Scissors from last year starts make noise and doesn't cut properly anymore so I decided to get new scissors ( I will keep my old scissors and give to professional company to sharp the shears )

Update November 2015 

This pair of scissors is very comfortable during the haircut but... 

It makes annoying noise and is brand new ! 

I will add some more oil and see if that will help

Update 6 November 2015

I love my new scissors the design is so nice and the scissors are sharp 

When you take big section of the hair your scissors will struggle to cut it in one smooth cut, the hair will slide on the blade down 

This scissors are great for point cutting or cutting the hair at any other angle than 0 degrees 

For a precise haircut, I will advice buy a different kind of scissors and definitely 4.5inch to have more control

When I had the half term at college I had some time to do work at home. 
the best thing is to start to thing out of The box and design your own haircut 
I like avant-garde haircuts and hairstyles so I design new haircut.
