Level 2 Hairdressing Competition

I am proud to announce that I was awarded on 2nd of April with Third Place in Fantasy Competition as a student of Level 2 Woman's Hairdressing at The Bournemouth and Poole College.
The level 2 was divided to 3 groups : Historical, Occasional and Fantasy
My group "Fantasy " was the last one on this day.
All preparation, make up and costume I could do at home before the competition only the hair I had to style during the competition.
Early morning at 11 am I meet my model and I done her nails, make up and add fake body tattoo.
At 2 pm me and my model went to college to do more preparation.
The main hall was full of people and we had to wait a bit and let other groups take their stuff back etc
I had to go to one lady and tick my name on the list , get number of my table.
I could take just one bag with me and I had to leave it under my table.
I had straightener, hair extensions, my brushes, my combs, hair bands, hair pins etc
The all necessary products ,for styling the hair ,were on the front of the room and all electrical equipment as well so during styling the hair you could take anything you needed: hair spray, hair serum etc.
(I had my own equipment or products because college team had for us just few products - hair serum, hair spray)

I would like to say big thank you to my husband my model and all family and friends for all support and advice.
From my experience I learn that
- 1 hr was not enough for me to do my design, I had no time to add more hair extensions )
- make up and costume is very important as a hair style
- moodboard ( write down as much info as you can and make match the colours with your theme

The judges had a mark sheet and they could give points for hair , costume and make up so the make up and the costume play important part as hair.
The competition was a good experience overall for me and it is a great platform for someone who would like to continue work and do national competitions.
I won a chocolate rabbit :) for third place
More than 90 people took part in this competition so that was a big surprise when judges said my name and gave me third place.
