What to do as a Hairdresser after graduation

What to do as a Hairdresser after graduation

My experience after graduating my college is not very good.

The Bournemouth and Poole College offers just a woman hairdressing diploma and if you would like to know how to cut men's hair you have to do extra courses and pay extra for those.
After graduation you will find out that most of the salons needs people who knows how to cut woman's and man's hair.

My advice is to find a college which offers one course which covers aspects of both women's and men's hairdressing or another option is to do level 3 diploma in women's hairdressing and later do a barbering course or do some barbering courses first and see if you actually will enjoy and learn well how to cut men's hair and later do women's hairdressing.
I discovered during my stay in the proffesional salon that barbering is a very difficult profession.
Each barber has his own method and use his own tools for the job.
Barbers who went through educational provider are very good but not as fast as some people who learned the barbering themselves.
( one barber I know with 14 years of experience cut men's hair in 15 min-20min and he has no certificates etc.)
Another problem is that each person has his own hairstyle and is so many different hairstyles.
If you will finish your women's hairdressing you can struggle a lot to learn new techniques in short time.

Maybe your experience was different so please comment below if you agree or disagree with me
I would appreciate your comments
