So far nobody found any medication for gray hair but a team of European researchers claims to have found not only the root cause of gray hair but also a treatment for the condition.
They think that hair turns gray due to a natural buildup of hydrogen peroxide in hair follicles, which causes oxidative stress and praying.
Catalase enzyme protects our hair from hydrogen peroxide.
Catalase enzyme production declines with age, preventing hair follicles from producing melanin.
Gerald Weissmann, MD, Editor-in-Chief FASEB says, “All of our hair cells make a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide, but as we get older, this little bit becomes a lot. We bleach our hair pigment from within, and our hair turns gray and then white.”
Catalase is converting hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen.
Catalase can be found in highest concentrations in the beef liver and kidney.
The researchers also found that hair follicles need the enzymes MSR A and B in order to repair damage caused by hydrogen peroxide.
Low levels of MSR A and B also disrupt the enzyme tyrosinase, needed for melanin production, leading to gray hair.

I did some test to see how the black pepper can tint our hair
I was not surprised to notice that the black pepper will only give you yellow tone and maybe shine but it can't bring back the depth

I would still recommend hair mask from black pepper as it is a great source of
vitamin K, iron copper, chromium, calcium, fiber and manganese.
I tint my hair with henna before but it stain my pillow cases later during sleep so I prefer to use ready colors now

So how to avoid the hydrogen peroxide stress ?
If you use only low percentage of hydrogen peroxide you definitely will help your hair stay healthy longer
For my gray regrowth, I use only 1.9% hydrogen peroxide with 5/00 plus conditioner
The tint washes off after 15-20 washes
If you are buying box colors from shops the other way to avoid hydrogen peroxide stress is to use semi - permanent colour
This tint has low percentage of hydrogen peroxide
Some people have very resistant hair and to tint this kind of hair you will have to use 6% hydrogen peroxide

I found out that potatoes have very high level of this enzyme
so now I decided to use raw potatoes juice as a leave-in conditioner for my hair
