How to take care of your scissors

Anyone who has started hairdressing as a student in the college should know that the scissors need some help to stay sharp and clean. The one I have are not the highest class scissors which one stays sharp forever :)

My scissors are squeaky when they are dirty and have some pieces of hair between the blades
To get nice and clean scissors you can use oil
I have nice oil for sewing machine and I like to use it cs is very soft and not so thick


First clean your scissors

(To clean it very quickly I will recommend to unscrew the blades and clean it inside properly
But if you afraid that you will not connect them back in right way I recommend just to do Some few cut movements, And this trick should Help clean your scissors ( open , close the scissors 20-30 times  and the hair should come out)
)
Distribute the oil evenly and let it go inside between blades


To sharpen my scissors I use simple clean foil  ( aluminium foil )

I have seen one video on youtube about this method and I tried this already

You have to have clean foil , fold it once, one more, one more, one more, and one more.
You should fold clean foil five times
Now you are ready to sharp your scissors by cutting clean foil. Cut 10-15 cm of clean foil or more depend on your scissors and the result  Each time you cut the foil your scissors will get more sharp edge

After this, you will have nice and sharp scissors and you will save 15£  :)
